Charlie Leslie's Tarpon Caye Lodge is not a 5 Star island lodge/resort and we do not have the intentions of becoming one; but we are not your basic, simplistic lodge either; we had the common sense of making necessary amenities available to our clients, for we don't want you to experience the best fishing in the world without being comfortable, too.

We prize ourselves as being an in-tuned with nature, down to earth, family oriented lodge.

Remember we also cater to people who are looking for a private island retreat to get away from it all in a relaxing environment without having to take out another home mortgage.

ISLAND Amenities:

• Our Three Cabanas:

  • Built on stilts above the Caribbean

  • Tiled floors

  • Semi-cathedral ceiling which helps keep cabana cool

  • 2 double bed with comfortable mattresses

  • Bed head lights if you wish to read a book without keeping on the main light

  • Writing table and chair

  • Wash basin separate from shower, so that guests can get ready faster and more conveniently

  • Private hot/cold bath (tiled showers) - designed with seating area

  • Private verandah right over the Caribbean, with deck chairs and hammock

  • The cabanas have a real cozy feel

• Full Service Clubhouse/Restuarant:

  • built up on stilts above the Caribbean

  • Open deck with deck chairs for a fantastic sunrise view and cool hangout area after a hard days fishing

  • Tiled floors

  • Wall Of Fame

  • Here is where we serve our clients fresh lobster and fish among other local and international cuisine.

• Power:

  • Island has full 110 electricity (so bring your portable DVD player if you like)

  • Island has an established solar system for when the main generator goes out at 9 p.m.

    • Clients have 12 volt lighting and running water in their cabanas.

• Water:

  • Island has over 12,000 gallon storage system, that provides the entire island with fresh running rain water.

  • Water is pump fed, so you have excellent water pressure in your cabana

• Communications:

  • FREE internet access for our clients (send/receive emails, browse the web)

  • FREE call-receiving (your family our friends can call you at 011-501-660-1083)

  • FREE use of phone to call out (client has to purchase pre-paid cards, no charge for the use of the phone)

• Recreation:

  • Complimentary snorkel gears (beautiful fringe reef right in front of the island)

  • Complimentary kayaks

• COMING FOR OUR 2024 SEASON :

  Many of our clients have asked us not to try and turn Tarpon Caye into the typical island resort retreat; we will definitely respect their wishes and hold true to the islands current in- tuned with nature, down to earth family oriented atmosphere and most of all it will remain a true Fishing Lodge because that's what we are and that's what we know.

  We will, however, make a few upgrades to make our clients visit a little more comfortable and convenient without spoiling the atmosphere!

  • Bigger Full Service Restaurant & Sports Bar

    • We are in the process of constructing a bigger full service restaurant and sports bar; this will give our clients a more comfortable area to relax and catch a game or two, when they are not out on the waters.

  • Addition Of One More Bigger Cabana (give us a total of 4 cabanas):

    • We are in the process of adding one more bigger cabana

      • Cabana will have one double bed and one king sized bed for the guy looking to bring his wife along.

      • Cabana will be able to sleep four people comfortably with additional beds.

  • Beach area with thatch palapa and beach chairs

    • Tarpon Caye is a natural mangrove island, thus it does not have a natural beach; we have already started working on establishing a beach for clients who would like to relax in a comfy beach chair under a thatch palapa with an ice cold beverage.

  • Sunset Deck:

    • We are constructing a thatched Sunset Deck on the south side of our island where clients will witness spectacular sunsets.
